Apostlos Kaklamanis was born in Athens in 1957.
Graduated from Higher School of Graphic Design and Decorative Arts in 1979.
Attended drawing and painting next to Vrasidas Vlachopoulos and Tasos Rigas.
Originally engaged in the illustration of books for children and literary works, but soon the need to discover his limits leads him to escape from the two-dimensional plane of the canvas and experiments with the third dimension.
The Greek element and tradition have been an inspiration and are clearly reflected in his next projects while materials such as metal, clay, glass, stone, etc. are added to his palette, beyond paint and brushes.
His restless quest brings him into the world of advertising. The simplicity of the promotional concept excites him and wanting to give his own unique look and experience in the advertising market, in 2003 he founded iBlind creative advertising photography studio, with the purpose to photograph and retouch products (Cosmote, EOT, Karelias, AUDI, McDONALD'S, Kaiser, etc.) for the largest advertising agencies (McCann, Upset, TBWA, Cream, Ashley & Holmes, Leo Burnett, etc.).
Specializes in the construction of models and props used for the needs of individual projects, enriching his knowledge on new techniques and expanding thinking. His success in the fields, leads him to assume sponsorship, shoot for the campaign of the Greek Advertising Festival 2004 and award prizes to the winners.
Collaborates with the University of Patras and the Ionian University in order to photograph and digitizie the art collection of the Solomos and Eminent Zakynthians (MSEZ) Museum.
In recent years he creates sculptures, constructions, installations seen from a different angle, creating compositions that are designed to arouse emotion and defy the laws of nature.
His works are in private collections in Greece and abroad.
He lives and creates in Vrachati, Greece.
